The launching of The Kitchen DSM has opened the doors for unparalleled culinary offerings. We have a few more vendors to announce this summer as well as plans for guest chef nights and foodie fundraisers for The Justice League of Food. The list below represents the current members of The Kitchen DSM owned by The Justice League of Food. 10% of all food sales always go to the JLF to help fund its mission of skills training and job placement services for Opportunity Youth.

The Kids in The Hall

German/European/Wild Wild West

The Kids in The Hall is the first new brand born in The Kitchen DSM created by the first students of the Justice League of Food. The name harkens back to the days of old as does the classic German menu. The inaugural menu includes the best of the wursts, chicken schnitzel, big pretzels, spätzle, sauerkraut, blaukraut, potato salad and creamed spinach. Stay tuned as The Kids in The Hall explore European cuisine and develop exciting new menu items as part of their training.



Get a taste of what foodies call “irrationally delicious pizza” from 515 Pi. Using hand pressed dough and the freshest ingredients, each inspired pizza is fired fast to order and served bubbling hot. Pizza Meister Brad Bormann was the first in the nation to put an 850 degree Woodstone oven in a truck. Why you ask - cuz they said it couldn't be done.

Charlotte’s Belgian Waffle Cookies


Charlotte’s Belgian Waffle Cookies is named after our Grandma Charlotte Noble who taught us how to bake, to live life to the fullest, and most importantly to extend love to each person we meet. The recipe is authentically Belgian, and in every waffle we extend a little bit of Grandma Charlotte’s love to you. Each favorite on our menu is dedicated to a Noble--Grandma Charlotte, Grandpa Jim and all of their kids --- so pick your favorite and taste the love!

Rescue Burger and Q

New American Pub Grub

Rescue Burger and Q, led by Pitmaster Brad Jones, has rebranded Deez Greenz, holding on to the popular menu of gourmet burgers, sandwiches and Brussel Sprouts and adding his award winning BBQ. Simple twists on simple food creating unique and delicious pub fare. From the burgers to the brisket, everything is house made daily in the Kitchen DSM. Stay tuned for beer inspired twists on this iconic menu. Bon Appetite!



Relish means to enjoy greatly and the forces behind this catering company intend to help you do just that. Relish is the 2nd new brand to startup out of The Kitchen DSM. Led by Christi Bormann, she brings your favorite small plates with some fun twists. From seasonal bruschetta and cheese and charcuterie grazers to the classics like beer cheese dip and meatballs, you’re sure to find something for everyone. Christi shares her love for food and entertaining with you through Relish and she knows how to feed a crowd!

Taza Mediterranean Grill


With back-to-back wins in best in show at the 2018/2019 Des Moines Social Club Food Truck Throwdown, Chef Thaar Taha has changed the game by serving fresh, healthy and AUTHENTIC Middle Eastern cuisine. Good old fashioned Arabic recipes for Falafel, Shawarma, Salads and more. Stay tuned for his new creations coming out of The Kitchen DSM.

Up In Smoke BBQ


Restaurateur and Pit Master Brad Jones went mobile this year and is the newest addition to the team at The Hall. Smoking some of the best brisket, pulled pork and wings north of the Mason Dixon Line. All we can say is show up with an appetite and plan on taking some home.
